Landscape glimpse!

Lord knows where I should even begin...we've been so busy I think I've lost touch with some friends and family but I hope they understand it's all for Dj! Here is a small glimpse of the backyard progress!!
On a very exciting note...were so close to being done with everything for the party and DAVID is officially on VACATION!!! We are so excited FAMILY TIME!!

Remodel progress

My parents have been tiling and we help as much as possible! Yesterday we started grouting!!
Tomorrow I'll post more of our final product...we still need to finish mopping up grout dust!

Andrew Graduated!!

Well Friday we drove to Colorado City to watch Andrew graduate! I know we're getting old now! We are very proud of him and all his accomplishments! A&M is lucky to have him!

This weekend we have well I should say David has been hard at work in the kitchen! This morning we bought all the paint and taped off for texture!

Whew!! School's OUT for Summer!!

Wow its been a crazy time for our little family! David has been busy working and working on all our remodel stuff--kitchen and bathroom! I've been working on finishing up the school year, bible study and FINALLY planning Dj's birthday party! This past week I took Dj to our bible study and I must say he was a distraction but it has been a wonderful experience growing with these ladies! We are reading and following Believing God by Beth Moore. I love my weekly time with these ladies because its a wonderful time to just reflect on life and all the blessings God has given us! What I am thinking about most is that we must believe is "God is who God says He is"!

This is our first weekend that hasn't been crazy busy yet we are still busy...we had Andrew's graduation Friday night in Colorado City! I'll post a picture later...We are very proud of Andrew even though he will be attending Texas A & M!! Today we stayed home and worked on cleaning, organizing and of course David worked on the kitchen! Tomorrow we'll be working on the kitchen some more and then have a birthday party for a family friend!

I am very proud of myself because I placed the first order for Dj's birthday and that will be in around June 10th! I am processing the next order and just waiting on the pinata to come back in stock to place that order! I've decided on centerpieces, balloons, cakes, decorations etc...I am thrilled to be planning this party! The only thing that I'm having a little issue with is what activities to have for the kids that attend the party to participate in....swimming, jump-o-lene....hmmm....maybe a mixture...I am currently leaning towards a swimming pool...

Doesn't this seem like such an awesome swimming pool for little ones!!

Well I think its time for us to head to bed...Davids checking out textures and I think its time to rest my brain from planning! 

Remodeling!! Woo Hoo

Wow were to even begin....we started a kitchen remodel that is coming along...then yesterday we had a small bathroom leak that turned into a new vanity and floor!!
This is a before of the floor I'll have afters posted when they finish hooking everything up!

I am super proud of ourselves because we did most of the work! I helped lay tile then had to leave for a graduation party and David and my dad finished! We had to take turns so that one of us was watching and playing with Dj.
I am really looking forward to these last 2 weeks of work...then summer VACAY!
Well David took a break from the bathroom and is doing some yard work... Hopefully I'll get the laundry out of the way today! Ohh yeah we got a new washer too! More pics later!

It's been a ZOO around here lately!!

Well then end of March was CRAZY!! Left Dj for the first time for a 3 day 2 night stretch while I attended the 18th Annual BEEMS conference in El Paso! Let me just say you don't know Bilingual Education until you've seen El Paso's schools! I visited La Fe Prep School an I must say that I was very impressed with both their curriculum but their motivation! Each family is invested and connected to their child's education as all parents should be! Enough with that soap box...

We've been busy lately...and trying to enjoy as much family time as possible. We are in shock at how fast our little man is growing up!! He weighs in at 21 lbs, 27.5 inches long and is working on tooth number 7!! He offically uses rolling as a method of moving around...now to master CRAWLING...then look out world here comes DJ!
David has been spending his free time doing body work and this weekend we bought a rug and some wood to finish setting up our guest bed! I am super excited about that cause finally Shaft doesn't have to sleep on our couch! On top of all our normal everyday life things I've been helping my sister plan Ori's quince...can't believe it were t-minus 45 or 50ish days!!
Work for both of us has been normal...both good and bad days! I recently had my evaluation and have been praying that it went well and that all of these funding issues fix themselves and that the lay offs that we have had are done! I am blessed to work with an amazing group of ladies that have been very positive and encouraging towards me since I fall into one of the lay off categories!! But we're all praying!!
I'll leave it off there...I have a date with my hubby downtown at the new CUPCAKE shop!

Wow its been forever!

Well it's been forever since I've had time to post! This Spring Break has been a bit stressful...Dj is sick for the first time! The Friday before Spring Break we took Dj to the doctor to find out he has his first ear infection. The following morning I woke up feeling sick and thus continued further because Dj, myself and David got sick! After going to the doctor twice we decided to basically stay in all week. My parents and I did go to the AAK super sale and got some more stuff for Dj at grandma's house. Its a shame that we are finally feeling better and its 2 days before the break is over. Hopefully tomorrow we can get out of the house some!

I must say that it has been nice to just rest and snuggle with DJ!
