Memories...

Well as the new year approaches we have so many blessings to be thankful for but in the back of my mind lingers one of the most important people in our lives Clara Grace. There are 13 days until her Angel~versary...I learned that tonight as I was searching online for some memorial service ideas. I love that versus anniversary or even birthday because she is our Angel and its her special day!!

David probably wishes that I'd stop having all kinds of ideas and just stick to one idea but its just so hard to figure out what I want and what is fitting for Clara's 1st Birthday! I've spent at least 2 hours tonight listening to memorial songs, reading poems and watching videos that parents have made to remember their children. It's so sad yet gives that small amount of comfort that we as parents are not alone!

Well tomorrow is New Year's Eve and we still really haven't solidified any serious plans aside form out traditional going to my parents house. I truly hope that 2010 brings us a multitude of blessings...I can say that 2009 started rough but things are looking up with our new little Peanut!! On Peanut news I go see the Neonatal specialist on the 19th and then Dr. Bass right after that appointment and we'll make a plan on how this pregnancy is going to work so that we carry as close as possible to full term. Please keep us, our family and our precious PEANUT in your prayers!!

Summer Baby!!

Well...my appointment with the nurse went great. She is a family friend so it makes things comfy knowing that. I got my list of do's and don'ts along with some free goodies!! Lots of books, bottles and formula! We go back to the doctor on December 22nd for our first Dr. Bass appointment. So far the estimated numbers are 8 weeks and 1 day today and a July 23rd due date! We're praying that everything goes well this time and we're taking it slow....and I am super excited about the fact that I'll be out for summer break during my maternity leave!!

Lights Camera Action!!

Well...I don't have a picture of our Christmas Lights...but I am super excited that we have them up this year! We've had them for 4 years now and never put them up till this year! David put up half of them and then Tim helped him finish the rest! I think this weekend we'll go get our Christmas Tree and finally make the house smell and look like Christmas inside! Today is a very exciting day for us....we go see the Nurse at Dr. Bass' office! I'll get my list of things to do and not to do anymore! I'll also have my prenatal labs done and the most exciting part is we'll find out an estimated DUE DATE!! We've got lots to be thankful this year and I want to make our holidays as special as possible. Our year started out rocky but its up to us to END it on a GREAT NOTE!! Hopefully I'll get in to see Dr. Bass next week and I'll be posting our Peanut's first picture!!

On the baby note I do have to say this time around pregnancy has been pregnancy....with Clara I didn't feel as sick but this time Im thinking SERIOUSLY....I'd like to go a moment without being nauseous and tired. But in the end its worth it so I'll just keep trucking along! Also it'd be super nice to sleep an entire night...David & I both are already sleep deprived and the baby isn't even here! Jomi bought me a body pillow and I tried it out last night I think I lasted a little bit with it but at some point I just got rid of everything!! It's winter and I'm sleeping with the FAN ON!! Well I'll update everyone on how the appointment went later today....t-minus 4 hrs till the appt!

Indians & Pilgrims!!

Well today was my classes Thanksgiving Feast!! We had an awesome turn out with all our parents that came. I had to heat my very first Turkey and it was interesting but GREAT!! We had this beautiful cake that one of my parents made!! Its just GORGEOUS and let me just say it was DELICIOUS also....I'm thinking of asking her to make my BABY SHOWER cake....yes I said it...BABY!! David & I just found out yesterday that we're expecting!! Bruno # 2 on its way!! According to calculations we're looking at a late July or early August baby!! David is beaming running around like a proud father....so I'll just sit back and keep my excitement contained. Well today is my last day of work till Nov. 30th!! YAY!!! Im gonna wind things up and head outta here!

Playoff season has begun!!

Well life has been pretty normal lately. Aside from David being on the sickly end of it...he's been sick 2 times in 2 weeks. We finally went to the doctor and he's finally feeling better. Well we've finally settled in a bit but our weekends seem to keep getting busier and busier!! We haven't had a calm nothing to do weekend since before the wedding. Wedding weekend, Halloween Party, 16th Bday party, Club Thanksgiving Dinner, AHigh football and now we have another wedding to attend!! Here is one of my favorite shots I took at the A-High vs. Arlington Lamar Playoff game!! I went with my brother and dad while David hung out with the "boys" and had a bachelor party for Tyler. It was an awesome game and I enjoyed it even more since it was at the new Cowboys Stadium. To make it more fun my bestie Sharon came to the game too...its always nice to just spend sometime with your friend regardless of where your at!! Well David is recovering nicely and I can't wait to have him at 100% again.

On a different note school has been going great especially these coming weeks. I had one of the greatest little girls in my class turn 5 yesterday and we let her parent celebrate her birthday with our class. Of course they loved it...CUPCAKES = SUGAR!! Today we had a field trip to Oak Wood Trails at the Abilene Supported Living Center. At first it was like ohh yay a nature walk with my class...attention span = 0 but they did awesome and it was really fun we walked and there were activities we could do along the trail. We swung on a Rope Swing, Log Swing and a HUMAN sized Tetter Totter. It was awesome and to end it all we had lunch at the picnic tables and let the kids play at the attatched playground!!! and YES Christina and I both slide down the slide!! I am very excited that there are only 5 days of school till Thanksgiving break and then 3 weeks after that till Christmas Break and then I don't have to go back until Jan 5th!!

For those that have been waiting for this update my sister had her surgery and is waiting to heal before she does 4 more rounds of chemo. I am so thankful for all the prayers for her. Its amazing how much this year has made us grow and change. Death is a sad thing but I keep believing that one day we'll see the LIFE that it brings. I can honestly say for both of us we never saw this coming nor knew how to prepare for everything that has happened to us. I am really looking forward to starting a new year with my new husband an all the new journeys we'll be on!!

And PS. I have really been trying hard to incorporate diet and exercise into my daily routine...3 days good so far...MUST get better!!

Wow its been forever!!!

Well lets see I should already be in bed but I decided since I was helping David make our Open Enrollment changes to our BCBS insurance I figured I'd take the time to make a small post! Yes we finally did it we've been married 2 weeks now...and FYI I still haven't had the time to go Legally change my name yet. So for the time being I am still Maghen Martinez...or as my friends have decided my name is still Maghen Martinez but with the addition of Anderson. Thats a really long name. Life has been pretty hum dum lately which could explain why David describes married life as BORING. School is getting a bit better my kiddos are getting into the full swing of things!! I am excited about David's work because he could be working from home here pretty soon which will be AWESOME!! So lets cross our fingers and pray that works out! Well that is all for now as my body is screaming SLEEP and my computer is screaming at me IM DYING!!

A Day of Memories!!

Well....as I was checking out some stuff online...It was brought to my attention that today is the National Day of Miscarriage and Infant Loss. Its amazing how even just those words alone bring so much meaning and memories back. We have a daughter that will always be in our hearts. I read this online at Bring the Rain and its so true:

All of us who have lost babies know that it isn't just one day a year.
It's Tuesday, when all the other kids are playing on the swingset.
It's Sunday, when you don't have one to bring to Sunday school.
It's Thursday, when you wish you could know what her favorite after-school snack would have been.
It's Friday, and you can't stop crying.
It isn't one day, it's every day. Relief comes in pockets but the truth is that there is a gap that cannot be filled here. I feel that today as the rain falls outside and the day beckons me to move in spite of my brokenness.

Work Bridal Shower!!

Yesterday I had my Locust Bridal Shower!! It was so cute and I loved it! I loved the little cakes...each were cute into individual bite size well couple bites really. I don't think I could ask for better co-workers!! Most of my gifts were cooking related....I guess they want me to cook more!!

The punch at the shower was AWESOME and Im going to have to remember that in the future maybe I'll make it for the wedding which reminds me...there are so many things that need to get done in the next week its CRAZY!! Im really looking forward to using all my gifts!

On a side note..David will be home at night now!! No more Conway!! When people become dis-respectful you just have to draw a line!

Bachelorette Weekend!!

This weekend was both hilarious and FUN!! We loaded up the car and went to Austin...we being me and the girls! We left Friday evening...which was an eventful trip...who knew you could get 4 warnings after being pulled over by a State Trooper. We did make it to Austin in one piece though...Saturday morning. I helped Kannika make breakfast; french toast, bacon, fresh fruit and OJ!! Who could really ask for a better breakfast! Then we layed around the house for a bit and got ready for our Spa Appointments!! We spent about 4 hours in the Spa an it was so much fun!! They told us we could bring whatever we wanted with is and we did....we had snacks, drinks and even went out to get some food too!! They were super nice and let us make ourselves at home!! They even provided some "beverages" for us as well!! After the spa we went and saw the Austin Bats!!

After the Bats it started getting pretty chilly but we still went for Amy's Ice Cream!! Let me just say AWESOME!! We shared Punkin Pie : Pumpkin Ice Cream, graham crackers, and homemade whipped cream!!! After all that we went home for a lingerie party and then to eat at RUDY's!! I love RUDY's and a must for any Austin trip!! After Rudy's we went out on 6th Street...I took Lauren to get a Henna Tattoo while Lori & Lupe got REAL tattoos!! Don't you just love the outfit I had on....I had a flashing tiara, flashing lips and a blue flashing ROCK ring!! It was sad to leave on Sunday morning after breakfast but we had to get back in time for our marriage classes!! I can't believe it 2 weeks and its here!

My understanding of David's weekend while I was gone was TONS OF RELAXING!! Which I am super glad he did!! He needs to rest!! Well I've got tons to do in the next 2 weeks to get everything ready....a few more invites to mail and then well be set to go!! at least I HOPE SO!!

Pumpkin Patch!!

Well this week at school has been kinda crazy...children tend to act different as the weather changes. However we were lucky that the rain stopped long enough for us to take them to the Pumpkin Patch!! Here is a picture of myself and my assistant Christina..

We've been working really hard on making our classroom look like Fall and Halloween coming up. Today Christina made us a night sky and GIANT pumpkin outside our room...pics of that to come as we start adding their art work to the walls.

Aside from school I've been doing more and more things for the wedding lately and things are falling into place...YAY!!! This weekend is my Bachelorette Party in Austin...I am really excited my friends and family are all coming!! and to top it all off....we're going to a SPA!! I need some serious relaxation. We'll back to the daily grind..T-minus 4 hrs till we hit the road to AUSTIN!!

Day Shift!!

Well yesterday was David's first day on Days @ BCBS...and lets just say its AWESOME having him home in the evenings...the only downer is that he still has to be at work at 12:15 for Conway. Im thinking once he gets used to his schedule mornings will be better because yesterday and this morning felt like torture to wake him up which is kinda hard when Im getting up and getting ready for work at the same time!

On a wedding note...I have the invitations and I've started to deliver some...hopefully I can get them in the mail and delivered by this weekend. I am really looking forward to this weekend because its my Bachelorette Party. We're going to Austin and have a weekend full of planned events!!

On my school note we've switched to a Fall theme and its really fun and exciting for me!! My assistant made this awesome TREE for class I'll post a picture of it later and today we made leaves to go on it and we'll be making more tree's and pumpkins in the up coming weeks!!

The Farmer in the Dell!!

Friday my class and I went on our first field trip to May Farm!! Im not legally allowed to show my kids therefore I won't but I can show you pictures of some of the Farm Animals that we saw while on the trip!! These are the cutest BEEFALO I've ever seen...there were Roosters, Chickens, Hedgehogs, Baby Goats, Donkeys, Buffalo, Rabbits and ofcourse a Llama!! Which was quite fitting as we'd read Is your mama a llama? in class that week!!

I finally got the chance to get the curtains my mom made for my room up! I love them and they add wonderful color to the room!!

I took this picture while I was waiting for David to come out for dinner tonight...The clouds were awesome...as they were developing into a storm....Well...tonight I started my Juice Therapy....its a holistic approach to weight loss and a healthy way to repair my liver condition without having to take medicine.

I'll be drinking my juice for breakfast, regular lunch and then juice again before dinner....Im really hoping that this helps and will help me lose some weight before the wedding!!! Today we picked up Maddie's flower girl dress and got Ori fitted for her junior bridesmaid dress and dresses will be ready by Oct. 12th...Things are really getting closer!!

Feels like forever!

Its felt like forever since I've posted anything on this...but since then...I've finished a solid month of school...had my bridal shower and now gearing up for 6 hrs worth of Marriage Classes....we start those this next weekend...yes yes I know way too close way way too close!! Hopefully we'll get them done on time.

Saturday we bought David's wedding band and David got fitted for his tuxedo....make more and more progress these days. My mom is working on my wedding veil and my dress is in alterations getting altered. I will pick that up on Oct. 14th.

I want to say Thank You to everyone that came to my shower!! It was a wonderful afternoon with friends and family. All my gifts were beautiful...I've put most of all the stuff we got up already and will have the Thank You cards out soon. Well....back to the wedding planning and gearing up for the week to come!

2 weeks later

well after 2 weeks of school this is what my roim looks like...im still going to be adding some cute turqouise & pink curtains that my mom made me!

2 weeks have gone...

Well I've taught for 2 weeks tomorrow....wow...its had its great moments and then had its OMG what am I doing moments!! I love the hours and I love being home at night and being able to make dinner....

Tonight was Open House at school and it went fairly well...I had half my class show up along with their parents. I am a very lucky teacher to have wonderful parents that love that our class is Dual Language!!

On the wedding home front...I am beyond thankful to my sister for allowing me to borrow all my reception decorations!! Aswell as my cake!! Lots of things are falling into place and I couldn't be happier or more blessed to have so many people to love me!

On the David front...he has been working lots and lots...and it it weren't for him I wouldn't be able to do the things I do getting ready for school....

Regisetries!!

Well all the registeries are done!! Target, Kohl's, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Dillards and Perkins! I also think that I did Wal-mart as well but can't remember!!

Workshop,workshop,workshop!!

Wow....these past 3 days have been intense! Workshops from 8 am to 4 pm each day. I am offically working now...just waiting on the paycheck....that'll be a little while to wait thats for sure....Tomorrow I start working on campus. Im excited to jump in there! Looking forward to getting my assistants opinion of things and see how we can make things work better!! I've got tons of lesson plans to get together and other supplies for Meet the Teacher Day on Monday.
Its been weird not seeing David as much as Im used to but we're making it...just a minor adjustment and sacrifice we're making for the moment.
He's really excited though as he will be attending a pre-season Dallas Cowboys game!! And I'll be heading to Dallas to hang out with my bestie!! YAY!! Sam Moon here we come!!

Well....I am gonna start looking for beginning of school activities!!

Bulletin Boards!!

Well covering the bulletin boards has offically happened well minus one board only cause I need to figure out what I wanna put on it! I'm thinking my star helpers might be nice...well see...but I am happy to say there is finally color in my classroom :-)..
Aside from working in my classroom we well David & the guys started the hardwood in the remodel room! I also must say thanks to Chris & Tyler for putting the dots on my walls for me!

Well after breakfast the floors begin again!

Orientation Over...weekend Hello!!

Well my first week of not working at BCBS was Hectic to say the least! David & I tried to communicate as much as possible while we were both at work. I spent about 15 more hours in my room to feel kinda like I got no where!! I did however cover the bulletin boards with butcher paper...well at least those that didn't require 2 people...which left me with 2 still uncovered. I made sure that every night I had dinner for David & I so we got to enjoy our 30 minutes together. Some major changes at BCBS went in this week that were a major shocker....and we kinda well rather David offically decided that he'd put in for the Flex Shift. So if he gets that he'll be working hours at work that are much closer to mine....so that will be nice to spend more time with him!
Im alittle nervous...school starts in 1 week 2 days! Yikes and Im not really ready....but I will get there. I attended my New Teacher Orientation Thursday and Friday this week and wow...I am certainly bless to have my job. This year was the largest hiring year for AISD after quite a long hiring freeze. I THANK GOD...that he's blessed us with such an amazing oppurtunity. Now its up to me to make sure that I use this blessing to its full advantage!
On Davids work front....he'd been coming home fairly early every morning until today!! He got in at 9 am after getting to Conway at 12 midnight!! CRAZY!! He is sleeping so that after we can hang out...go do some stuff and even if I have to bribe him or something we need to finish 3 more registries for the wedding....Also he does have his I-phone now so text or call him so he can add you into his phone as he doesn't remember his contacts and hasn't taken them from his old phone yet!!

All in one day!

Well today was my last day getting to hang out with David during the day....its sad...but at least we have the weekends. I was able to put up all my small bulletin boards today and hopefully the larger ones this weekend. I was also able to make homemade chicken pot pie! Its for tomorrow since Ill be busy. Tomorrow I have the first of my 2day orientation. Should be interesting.
On a different note please pray for my sister that she does fine during her biopsy and that its not cancer like the doctors think....I know God & Clara are with her keeping her safe.
Also I am very Thankful that we are blessed with each other and our jobs..and my heart goes out to those given such horrible news from BCBS today...

Monday my sisters came to help me...they helped clean and trash things that I didn't need or if it was just too old! I also had a dress fitting which was fun! Only 72 ish days till the wedding!

Registry and Another Funeral

This year has been a rough year. Its amazing how many people around us have passed away. My uncle passed away Thursday night and I attended the funeral with my family Sunday afternoon. It was nice to just have some family time. I hung out with my sisters and mom and tanned. We talked wedding as we have 2 months and 29 days basically. YIKES!!

David stayed behind and helped his family finish moving his grandpa's apartment. Aside from that we had a pretty boring weekend which was kinda nice to just not mess with much.

One really good thing that we did get done this weekend was one of the four wedding registries we will have. We went to Target and had lots of fun scanning stuff we would like for our home. I am proud of David he did really good for like the first 30 minutes of the process then he got BORED! We all know how that can be.

Employment Orientation!!

Well its offical...I went to my employment orientation today for AISD. My job starts August 13th and I get my classroom on August 3rd. I will be getting to work on my room ASAP and Im really excited! Life seems to be going good these days now just to figure out when I can put my notice in a BCBS and say good bye to one chapter in my life to open the door to the next!

David is enjoying his Conway job but all new job interest slowly dims...but we're holding to our plans at least until I start getting my checks from AISD and the wedding is done and over with.

Off to work and figuring out which insurance package do I want....also I've been working out lately and its nice to get back into the gym and trying to add veggies to my diet alot more!!

Sportster!!!

Well its offical....We're proud owners of a 2007 Harley XL Sportster 883!! And by we I really mean David.. I am just a passenger....here is what his bike looks like we haven't had a chance to go out and take pictures of it yet.

And on a side note all my papers are turned in and next week I go for my employee orientation so I am officially a Pre-K teacher for Loctus Early Childhood Cener!!

Running around!

Well we have been off work since Thursday evening. Friday we took thing slow as we were up pretty late at the hospital with David's parents. We are off work until Tuesday and I think thats good. Its given David some time to cope and get back into the swing of things. Saturday we worked on Dusty (AKA his grandparents car) as we need to have it moved by the end of the week. We also had Louie's t-ball game which I have to say are very interesting....you can tell the kids that certainly practice with their parents. We got a tire for the car and it was an interesting adventure for David. Had I thought about it I should of taken pictures but the thought escaped my mind. We also had a car club meeting that evening and hung out with friends. It was nice to have a small escape from the reality we've been facing lately.
Sunday was another busy day with church, lunch and Mikahman's 1st birthday. Which was HOT as it was outside!! After that we decided to just come home and relax. We've had a nice evening with Pizza, True Blood and Movie Night!!! We're watching The Knowing and its pretty good!! I am continuing to finish up ideas on the wedding and we're getting ready to finally start "getting the ball rolling" and actually start buying things!! WOO HOO!! My mom and I are starting to make decisions on the reception menu....YUMMY!!

A Wonderful Man

David's grandpa passed away last night. He is watching over us all and taking care of Clara for us. He will be missed. Please pray for the family that they have strength and peace during this time.

Ka-Boom!!

We had an awesome 4th of July this year!! As a group the guys all bought the Doom Firework package and had an awesome show!! David was super excited this year because he it was one of his first years shooting fireworks!! I was really excited about my giant sparkler!! They are awesome. It was an awesome night with friends just hanging out watching the fireworks show that they put on for us!!

On another note Lillie is gone...and Zoe is sad...here is a picture of how we had to sleep while we were having Girls Sleep Over this weekend....it was certainly interesting having another dog in the house this weekend...and I know that Zoe certainly enjoyed having her "big" sister around.

Girls Night!!

Well last night was interesting around 11pm my sister and her family brought over their dog Lillie for us to dog sit while they went down to San Juan and San Antonio for the weekend. Lillie is Zoe's sister and lets just say it was an interesting night....they played and played until about 2 am when we went to bed. They played inside and outside and basically anywhere they could.

We were up late making ice cream for today's Anderson' BBQ. This year it was my first year making it alone and I hope I did Jomi's ice cream justice. Hopefully our day gets alittle more relaxing than the morning we had. Dogs in bed are not the best company but I guess they thought we were having a sleep over or something.

On a side note here is a picture of some flowers I was growing but sadly the heat has won....

Today we plan on having a lunch BBQ with the Anderson's and then shooting fireworks and cooking out with friends!! Should be an interesting day!! David said that this year he will be in on the firework action!!

WHEW!!

WHEW!! Im finally done with VBS and pretty much on the downhill side of the summer!! I recieved my contract in the mail last Wednesday which was a nice change from my great nephew's funeral that I attended earlier that afternoon. Its really been a whirlwind of emotions that came with the passing of Jude and Jacob. I feel that the boys are hanging out and playing with Clara keeping each other company until we are there to be with them.
On happier notes...I am finally getting most of my wedding planning done. I have Save-the-Dates ready to go and pass out. VBS was a very busy time and wasn't any easier considering that I've been having an allergic reaction to something that I have no idea....so Friday I finally went to the doctor to figure out whats causing this reaction...while they didn't know they did give me some meds to stop the reaction from happening anymore and told me to wait for it to flare again and then go to the Allergy specialist to get tested. Im really not looking forward to that but they said that it could be a Heat Reaction and if so then I might save myself from the needles!

Well that is all I have for the moment....we've kinda had a very slow and easy life lately and its been nice!!

Quick Update!!

Well this week has been Davids first offical week working all week...and I've been gearing up for VBS next week...David comes home and I start waking up so that I can be at church for decorating...and let me tell you these guys are doing a GREAT job at it...well I am off to bed...hopefully I'll have pictures soon!!

New Possibilities!!

Well its offical I am a Pre-K teacher at Loctus. I signed my letter agreement last week along with filling out my pre-employment packet along with setting up my Employment Orientation session!! I am super excited about my future job which offically begins August 17th. But am a tad sad at that thought that I won't be seeing David as much as I am used too. He will continue working at BCBS while adding a new job...being a Greeter at Conway Freight!! David starts tomorrow night so from 12pm to 6 am I will be by myself at home and in the future he'll be working 3 pm to 6 am while I work 7 am to 4 pm. We're both excited about what the future holds for us and getting to where we'd love to be!!
Along with new jobs we also decided to take the carpet up in our hallway and found out that its awesome. So from there we continued that same evening ripping up the carpet in our living room. On Sunday we went to Lowe's to look at some finishing touches that we'd like to make to our house. We picked out the stain for the hardwood, tile for the kitchen, kitchen cabinets and paint colors for the accent wall in our livingroom!! Yes we have lots to do along with all the planning needed for the wedding but I am happy to say that I have picked out Bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses.

On top of all of that I am slowly getting VBS ready to go...we've had about 16 kids sign up and have all our teaching staff picked along with many crew leaders.

Graduations & More!!!

Yesterday we went to Maddie's Pre-K graduation and then later that night I went to Lauren's highschool graduation which was also her 18th birthday!! Maddie's graduation was certainly one of the cutest graduations I've seen. I also got one of the greatest phones calls in a while!! The H.R. Personnel director called to say that I offically got the Pre-K teaching job!! We are both excited about our future and what it holds for us....new job, new classroom, and a wedding!!! We are also just a couple days out of finding out if David got his second job...there are so many new things happening in our lives!!

This morning David went to see Louie's first t-ball game...Im really sad that I wasn't able to go but David made sure to take plenty of pictures so that I could see how he did.

Photography Really!?!?

O-WOW!! I think thats about all I can say for the moment about photography!! I've started looking into photographers for the wedding and its quite overwhelming...there are so many out there. I guess I should start calling to see on the availablity of some of these photographers but first I need to discuss with David how much we're actually willing to spend because I think $7500 is just way way to much for anyones pictures. Some may think thats a decent price but OMIGOSH no!! Well I am super excited about my double graduations tomorrow!! Yes I said double!! I have my Maddie and my first niece that I got to be with Lauren!! One from preschool and the other from Highschool!!

Just 2 more steps!!

Well we've done some more work on the room and we just have two more steps and we'll be done!! FINALLY!!! Trey helped David this weekend get the painting and trim work done. Tim and David busted out the texture so that we were able to get everything done this weekend!! We just want to say Thank You to all who helped!! This is what the room looked like before and now this is what it looks like!! The only things we need left is carpet, laminate and painting the trim. I am really excited that we've gotten so close to being done.

This morning I went with Norma & Ori to look at some James Avery jewelry that they were getting!! Our plans for today are to relax, rest and start putting up all the tools we used on the room. I am happy to say that I found some invitations for the wedding that I like now just to get with David to see what he likes. Im finally getting everything together for the wedding and now just to start actually buying the stuff!!

Well we're planning on watching movies and Im gonna finish up on the save the dates!! Happy Memorial Day to all!!

Round 3 success!!!!

I got the call...letter of recommendation for hiring sent to admin office!!!! These are my Congrats flowers from David!!!! He's wonderful!

Round 3!

Yay! My interview went great just waiting to hear back from Mr. Curtis! I am also setting up time to go see the class that might be mine....pray and cross your fingers for me!

Relaxing Day!!

Today we decided to take a day for ourselves and just relax. We are catching up on our TV shows and thinking of making an ice cream run!! Later tonight we're going to meet the group at BDubs to discuss and plan our Austin mini trip for next weekend!! It should be lots of fun and just nice to get out of town for a little bit.

We are making more progress on the house remodeling all we have left is some touch ups on the walls and then texturing, painting and trim work!! We will have our extra bedroom complete. We made a purchase today so that we can get things done!!

Aside from all of this we are also planning the wedding and trying to organize and find all the stuff that we need and want.

Wind Blown!!

I thought I would share our crazy adventure!! We just got in for the night and its 2 am!! We went out to dinner with some friends and then hung out in their garage just talking....till David heard a concert going on. It ended up being Negative 263 playing out at Midnight. We know this because we all piled into Billy's truck and drove to the concert. We later just drove around town with the 4 guys in the back of the truck for about 20 mins!! It was certainly an interesting evening....it was a nice switch to just being carefree and a little reckless!!

Saturday David & Tim worked on some more tape and bedding...I am really excited that this room is so close to being done!! YAY!! David has worked hard for the past couple weeks and I know that he's exhausted!!

Well off to bed before more tape & bed then finally...TEXTURE!!

New Pictures

There are new pictures of the remodel up...I didn't realize that he'd taken some new pictures!! The house is starting to look awesome!!

Tape & Bedding!!

David & Tim are getting started on the tape & bedding of the room and hopefully we'll be ready for texturing next weekend. I on the other really have nothing to do this weekend. I went to McMurry's graduation and watched a family friend Smiley graduate. Tonight we have a BBQ with some friends and then getting down to some WEEDING!! Here come the squats! Its really an awesome workout when you think about it.

Tomorrow I'll get back to the grind of wedding planning and start making a schedule of what appointments I need to make and who I need to let know with plenty of time in advance.

Round 1, 2 and the hope of 3!

I had my interview on Wednesday. I think I spent more time waiting for Mr. Curtis to finish with another person than I actually did in my interview. He was super nice and I answered a few questions about what I thought about the bilingual program if it should be Dual Lanugage or full Imersion?, Why I think some teachers are better at classroom management than others and why some never are able to grasp that concept? Or even why do I want to teach in AISD instead of moving somewhere else and making more money? Yeah those are kinda intense questions from a teachers perspective...

I answered them the best I knew how and gave my personal opinions. After that interview he took me to meet the Bilingual Coordinator. He said my next step will be to interview with the principals and once a principal selects me I will be hired!! That is very exciting and I can't wait to get another interview.

We have some more remodeling this weekend. David & Tim are going to be taping & bedding the room and possibly texturing if the weather holds up!! I am planning to hit up the gym as well so that I can make sure that I fit perfectly in my dress!!

2 pm today!!

I have an interview today at 2pm with AISD.....wow things happen really fast. I called them at 3:45 yesterday afternoon to check on my references and they called back with an interview time around 4. I went and got some clothes so that I'd be prepared today...now Im gonna do my research on AISD's mission statements and hopefully leave the office today with a TEACHING JOB!! or at least a positive outlook for one!

The Room and More!!

Well this weekend David worked on he room one day by himself and then the next with the help of Tim...who we are OMG thankful for. Sunday I had to help out at the Cinco de Mayo festival that my church was having which turned into a 5 hr shift that I wasn't expecting but thats ok. It was awesome to come home to a nearly completed room. I'll have pictures up in a couple minutes in our Remodel folder!! Aside from that our weekend was pretty relaxed nothing major went to a bday party and hung out with the car club!!

I got a chance to talk to the girls about my wedding and put together most of our guest list which let me tell you it can be intimidating. I've finally decided its time..5 months before lol to get the full ball rolling!! I basically verbally decided on all the decorations with my sister which was a ton of help cause my mind can now concentrate on the attire details. Im in the search of a cathedral length veil and sometime this month the guys are going to go search for tuxes and probably next month get the girls together for dress fittings!!

Its amazing how fast things can pop up!!

Here are a couple pictures of the remodel...I haven't gotten the chance to get into the room to take pictures but here are some that David took the other day at the start...and here are also some pictures of the house and the land that we are considering purchasing. They are almost done and just need 1 more day!!

March for Babies!!

First of all I want to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! to everyone that donated and sponsored our walk. It was a wonderful morning to walk there was hardly any sun and it was slightly overcast with plenty of breeze. The walk was actually alot of fun. We had David & Jomi and Norma and the kids!! I think that David & Louie certainly had the most fun out of our entire group. Also I almost forgot David's friend Emily and her mom also came out in support and walked. Louie and David RACED each other...Louie would run and say "David I race you" and when he was ready to take a break he would say "OK lets break" then go back to "let's race". Its amazing how much energy a 3 yr old had. I took the pictures with my cell phone so they aren't the greatest but I certainly think some are cute!

Tonight we're planning on hanging out with our friend Finke. Last night we played tennis with my nieces and Tim. It seems like we have gotten lots of exercise already this weekend. Well I am looking forward to the rest of our weekend. I will post the pictures of the house we are looking into getting later today or tomorrow.

2 more days before the March for Babies!!

We are excited about the March!! We have our order in for t-shirts which will have Clara's footprints on the back of them with Angel wings. We are also gearing up for our new bedroom remodel. Yet at the same time looking into getting a new house and living in a new neighborhood!! I'll have more pictures up soon!!

I didn't get a chance to go to my Fit Camp graduation this morning because I was met at the door by a giant Pitbull that was not a happy camper and he or she didn't want to leave our porch thus I was not about to make a run for it and get chased or bitten on the way to the car!! Tomorrow is our offical last workout....but in one week I should be joining the Walk camp...its a low impact class targeted at toning and sculpting!! Gotta get ready for the wedding!

Weeds Weeds and More Weeds!!

We spent the weekend just relaxing. We intended to go to church but we were just exhausted sadly from what seemed like nothing. We watched Marley & Me and The Day the Earth Stood Still which by the way when someone has been thru what we have...Marley & Me is a horrible MOVIE!! lol...Don't take me without that scene in the movie it is a good movie...Sad if you are a pet lover but good. We also picked weeds for 4 hrs at Davids parents house...wow neither of us are truly MANUAL labor people...me especially. Sadly I now have crisscross marks across my back in sunburn. We are getting ready for our kitchen remodel this coming weekend and walking in the March of Babies!!!
