Future President an all!

I took this picture this morning for Norma & Oriana. Ori bought Dj this onesie while on her D.C. Trip back in June who would of thought 6 months later he'd be wearing it already. We went to sleep on time last night an with no crying Woo Hoo! Hope that's a sign were getting back to our routine! I started working on my kids report cards today and the plan is to hopefully catch up on laundry while putting the house back together. It's amazing how much mess you can make putting toys together an entertaining a baby! We have one more week of having the Christmas stuff up as it's our tradition that the tree and decorations don't come down till the Epiphany! So more cleaning next weekend too lol! We have a fun New Years planned...we're starting out at our friends wedding reception then off to my parents I can't wait to bring in 2011 with my wonderful family!! Well back to cleaning and school work I'm anxious for tomorrow hair appointment in the am, coffee and dessert with Sharon the let the festivities BEGIN!!

Mondays!

Well Dj has started to cry when we leave the room and that has made bedtime a bit more challenging. Poor lil guy is a bit out of his routine which just adds to the crying but we'll all get through it! Today we hung out at home while David worked...tomorrow I'm thinking well get out for a bit. Here is Dj helping me with the laundry but he was too interested in his Gloworm!

Abilene Football

Today we left Dj w g-ma for a whole day and went to watch Abilene take on Southlake! Sadly we lost but it gave us a chance to go see the Cowboys stadium. We went with Norma but my whole family was there and even Trey and Dom were there! Well it's off to bed and looking forward to a lazy Sunday with my guys!

Halloween 2010

Well I can say that taking Dj Trick or Treating is going to be so much fun when he gets older!! Aside from the fact that Halloween is probably my favorite holiday aside from Christmas!! Dj was Superman for Halloween since he always sleeps like he's flying. He also looked like a pumpkin for part of the day as well.

It was nice to go trick or treating with Norma and the kids...and then we were surprised by my parents who met us out there. We made our rounds with Dj so that everyone could see him...then after went to have pizza with my family. It was a nice first Halloween for Dj. We can't wait for the next holidays to come!!

Band & Baptism!!

The title could be an alliteration! I thought I'd post a picture of my niece Ori during her first home game marching performance! We've got it on video as well just haven't figured out how to upload the camcorder yet. On a different note we had Dj's Baptism this past Saturday! It was wonderful...very short and sweet! We couldn't ask for a more supportive family...Thank you all for coming! Dj looked like so handsome and like such a big boy in his baptismal outfit. Tino & Carol chose a very cute outfit.

We filled our tummies with yummy food. Tino had the brisket smoked and we had potato salad, rice, beans, salad and of course...CAKE and CHOCOLATE(spanish)! It was nice sharing a wonderful meal with everyone.

This week is a usual week for us except for AHS HOMECOMING this Friday...which hopefully as long as the weather is nice will be DJ's first home game!

Busy Busy Busy...

I can honestly say that between work...home...and family! We've been BUSY! Dj is 10 weeks today and a very "healthy" boy! He is currently sleeping with us because he'll sleep straight through the night with us so mommy & daddy can both sleep! If we put him in his crib we might get 5 hrs max! He attended his first live Fantasy Football Draft party on Labor Day weekend! That was us being out of the house for more than 2 hrs...it was kinda nice...yet I was a bit nervous at the same time. We went in seperate cars just in case! Aside from that we've been busy being parents...and enjoying every new experience Dj gives us. This week is the last week of the Fair & Rodeo and Im really looking forward to going and getting to eat some YUMMY food! We only go once and its to grab some dinner and head home...this year same routine just not sure when as we'll be dropping DJ off so that he's not exposed to all those people or the heat.
Tomorrow we're going to the AHS vs. Plant football game..yes on a Thursday..but if it gets to be too much we'll just head home and watch it on TV. ESPN is hosting the event so they are televising it. Dj again will be with someone..not sure who yet!
Well his Baptism is fast approaching and the paper goods have been ordered and are here already just now to get all the food finalized...cake ordered...invitations sent out..and get everything else together! He & I have been going to church and I can say he's been GREAT...stays calm during the 1 hr service an after while people are looking at him.

One quick post...

well...Dj and I survived my first week back at work. Daddy survived too since he didn't have us around to bother him all day! Tomorrow is my first day of school and hopefully everything goes well and the year starts off great! I've been trying to soak up as much DJ time as I can this weekend...all we did was hang out at home and go to Tim's bday party Saturday night! Its nice to hang out with family. Well about to start getting all our stuff ready for the week and feed DJ!

Our 1st Month & Football!

We can offically say that our first month has FLOWN by! Here is a picture of Dj at 1 week before we left for our first doctors appointment. After this appointment we learned that he will be going to his appointments in easier clothes to get on and off fast! We had a good first appointment and went back at 2 weeks for a weight check and he'd gained so that he was back to birth weight.
We originally had some problems with nursing but we're slowly making better progress! I think we can offically say we do have a bit of a chunker. David and my sister have been very supportive of my nursing struggles they keep me very positive when its getting hard. Friday we went to school to move my classroom furiniture which was a slap of reality as I'll be going back in a week. My plan is to spend as much time as possible with him this week and cherious every minute!
Yesterday was his 1 month birthday! Can't believe its gone that fast! Today is the first pre-season game for the Cowboys and thanks to Uncle Trey Dj and Dad have GEAR!! Something tells me this is what I'll be seeing every Thursday or Sunday depending on when the Cowboys play! I'll end this with a pic of him in his outfit!

Lego, JVC & Netflix and DJ!

Well...I haven't blogged in a while...since I can't be online while Davids working I've just been getting things ready or packed around the house. My mom has been coming by once a week to help me clean up which has been wonderful! Aside from that I've been keeping up with all our laundry so that when we come home from the hospital there isn't much to do! Speaking of...Dj's bag is packed...our bag is packed...camera bag is ready to go...and today we got our newest addition to camera's a CAMCORDER!! We got the black one so that we could capture all our first moments with DJ!

Aside from this we also purchased a deep freezer last week so that we could stock up on groceries and not need to go to the store so often. So far it has been wonderful! Its working great outside and we certainly couldn't of gotten it without David's dad's help! Thank You for helping us bring it home! As most know David finished GTA so for Father's Day he wanted a 2nd controller to his PS3. So we bought this combo kit that had Kill Zone 2 and the controller! We also got Lego Batman....mainly for me because Im not the best at video games and in Lego you don't die.

On the Dj home front...my stitch is OUT! So now its just whenever DJ wants to bless us with his presence! I can honestly say we're ready...just wondering and anxious of when and how it'll all happen! I finished up his nursery this week...put all but a couple finishing details. Today is 37 weeks and we're offically FULL TERM!! Its such a blessing to know we made it this far! Well I am going to get off and help David do some picking up to the house...and we're going to watch Up on Netflix....we just finished watching Fluffy: Gabriel Iglesias....let me say HILARIOUS!!

It's Been Awhile!

Wow its practically been 1 month since I've updated the blog...in the past month we had a Diaper shower for David, Diaper shower at work, worked on the nursery and David & Trey built a custom cube/bench unit for DJ's room.

We had a Diaper Shower for David here at the house! It was lots of fun...pizza, snacks, diapers, video games and a simple guys night! David's dad, uncle and friends came over...an it was awesome that Finke and Shaft were even able to make it in from Lubbock.
After David's shower work had a diaper shower for me too! It was loads of fun! Here is a video slideshow of my work and family baby shower pics!

We've done lots of work on the nursery...I'll have those pics up later. I haven't gotten them all uploaded to the computer. We have an appointment with Dr. Bass tomorrow and we'll most likely have our true time frame set tomorrow. We're thinking we have about 1 week till the stitches come out an also Dr. Maberry said that Dj is weighing in at 5.5 lbs!! and by birth should be around 7 lbs!!

Splash Day!!

I just wanted to post how awesome this slide was that we had at school today for our kids Splash Day!! I had to distort some of the faces as we're not allowed to post pictures of kids or faces...but I can honestly say this thing looked like a ton of fun today! I am considering renting this for one of DJ's birthdays someday...yes I know Im thinking way in advance but that's how I am. I've even planned his entire first birthday party already...invitations, decorations and even down to the outfit he'll wear!
Well off to another Dr. Bass appointment!

Oh the clouds!

There are a couple Tornado Watches going on tonight....sadly most of these storms are moving east...I'd be nice to have a good ole thunder storm...Here are a some pictures of the CRAZY clouds outside!

Here in a bit we're going for a walk...which is a nice end to our relaxing...dinner and a movie night!!
Tomorrow we have a doctors appointment...we're praying all goes well!! And on a YAY MOMENT....David will be working out 5 am tomorrow...whew he's gonna be tired!

Mother's Day Weekend!!

I can say that I had a wonderful "first" Mother's Day! It actually started on Friday when David had these flowers delivered to me at work!

They are GORGEOUS!! My flowers are from Clara, Baby DJ and David! Friday night David and I did our own thing and that was fun! He played video games while I went to Louie's baseball game and then dinner with my sister's family. Saturday was a very interesting day...we mostly David did some cleaning and I finished up the trim painting in DJ's room. So we are offically done with the painting...now just to get the crib and furniture together and in the room.

Today was a great Mother's Day...slept in a bit before church, lunch at my mom's and then I went back for dinner! It was nice to visit with my sister's and mom! We watched Dj's sonogram DVD since my brother and brothers in law hadn't seen it yet! Now we are relaxing enjoying the rest of my mother's day quietly!!

This week will be spent "most likely" getting small details together for Dj's room...material for my nursing cover, wall art and a lamp! We also have an appointment with Dr. Bass this week too!

Thursday, May 6, 2010

Baby Dj in 4D!

Here is Baby DJ!! Hopefully I can figure out how to post the DVD if not we have it for people to see!! Well we're off to bed...and yes that is his foot on his head & his hand in his mouth!

GD Training...hmm...new diet!!

Well my GD training wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...they made an individualized meal plan that I can easily stick to when it comes to eating at home and my snacks..but my lunch is one that after I get through eating my leftovers this week will be much easier next week!! My new best friend is my Accu Chek Compact Plus meter! I have to check my glucose levels 2 hrs after every meal and then first thing in the morning!! About my diet...I don't ever eat that much food so we'll see how this goes...I've only gained 3 lbs this whole pregnancy and now I feel like it might be more..but others say I'll probably start losing so I might just be all baby!!

On other news...DJ is in the 57 percentile for his age in his weight so we have a 2.11 ounce baby boy who has big feet according to Dr. Maberry. I also got pushed back to every 2 weeks with Dr. Bass after being moved up to every week...and I've gotten moved up on Dr. Maberry's schedule to 3 week appointments!! Tomorrow is 28 weeks and DJ will have full lung development...but he needs to cook for about 4 more weeks before his lungs will be really strong. Dr. Maberry said things are going GREAT...stitch is holding and thats whats most important after DJ's health.

Well Im going to go back to getting lesson plans ready for the rest of the year in case anything should surprisingly happen my kiddos are ready to go...just 22 more day!! YAY!! Also I can't wait to get home cause we're painting today and getting the ball rolling on the nursery!! There will be pictures later to come...

Drs.Appt, 3 Hr Monitoring and Start of 3rd Trimester!!

Well...wow is all I can say about this week. We had our appointment with Dr. Bass on Monday and that didn't go very well (at least in my opinion). Evidentally I've been doing too much and thats hurting my cerclage basically and putting more pressure when its not necessary. So...back to a modified bed rest I go. I can still work but was told no more field trips, no more riding the bus and standing should be limited! GREAT...like that's easy as a teacher! But the good thing is I talked with my Principal about it and they have agreed to let me sit during most of my day...allowing me to limit my walking and I'm allowed to follow my class in my own car on field trips! Whew...good thing is we only have 2 more!! On a sour note...as I say...my Glucose test came back abnormal...he didn't explain that much more than that...he isn't sending me for a 3 hr test but instead for Gestational Diabetic Training this coming Wednesday and I'll start seeing him once a week now! Talk about alot going on in just 2 days....to be followed by!!

3 HR MONITORING!! Wednesday I started having some pains and thought well Dr. Bass said something was affecting my cervix so maybe its this pain I've been getting so I called and ended up for 3 hrs in the hospital and to make things BETTER we went into the room I delivered Clara in!! Talk about FLASH BACK!! I was released after showing no signs of ACTUAL contractions and to bed I went.
So far things have been decent today...trying to stay as much as possible off my feet and keeping them elevated...but our really big news is.....DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!

TOMORROW IS THE 1ST DAY OF OUR 3RD TRIMESTER!!
DJ just needs to hold out 1 more month...at least...we'd like him to get nice and "toasty" as my assistant says for longer than that!! and yes she means "toasty" vs. being "guero"!! Well I'm off to sit on the couch and watch our shows...

also for those insterested...March for Babies is this weekend!! If you walk...you'll have an Angel walking with you!!

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Peanut, DJ and much more!!

Well its been forever since I've posted or it at least seems like forever! Since last posting I got new shoes because my feet were seriously starting to hurt after a day of walking. Here is a shot of my shoes and of my 23 week TUMMY!! Being chubby doesn't make for the greatest tummy shots but gotta remember it some how LOL!! Well I love my new shoes because of course they are my favorite colors!!
On a work note...Im in the home stretch just 6 more weeks left and our last month is full of nothing but field trips and parties!! WOO HOO!! David's work is also going well although sometimes I think he gets a bit cabin feverish staying at home but we're proud to say that he PASSED (only missing a smoke alarm) his first home visit by management!!
Now on to more important matters...Baby DJ!!
We've offically done 2 of the possibly 4 registeries! My first shower will be May 16th and is being hosted by my sisters. I am proud of myself I went today and chose the crib and dresser/changer for his room and put them on layway so that they wouldn't be in the way while we're getting ready to start painting as his bedding made it in last week. Things are quickly moving along while I think we're still slowly moving! Here is the most recent sono's that we got at Dr. Maberry's office at the end of March! We've since then scheduled our 4D sonogram date and have begun talking to the photographer for our maternity session which will most likely occur mid May. As you can see in this sono he's showing off his little foot!
DJ is 12 inches long and weighs 1.7 oz.
Well I did my glucose test on Saturday morning and we'll get my results tomorrow at our appointment with Dr. Bass after school and hopefully everything is ok and no gestational diabetes. Tomorrow if weather permits my class is going to the Zoo so we'll see...I'll be sure to update how our appointment went and any new news we might have!!

Childbirth Class...Check...BF Class...Next..

Well I thought I'd update a couple minutes before the bell rings and school and my day starts! I say my day cause David's started about 1.5 hrs ago...

Tonight we have our first Breast feeding class at Hendricks. Our last Childbirth Class was AWESOME and full of information. We met with the pediatrician and she gave us some goodie bags and lots of helpful hints and even how to pick and when we can meet doctors we'd like to have. I'm looking forward to tonight and tomorrow marks the BEST POINT well up to this point in our pregnancy!! 23 weeks....viability.

Well the bell has rung and time to get to teaching!!

Mid Spring Break!

Well this week has been very relaxing and I've gotten lots done! I had a hair cut on Monday which is different finally something a bit different. Its been interesting being home while David's working but I've been making due. I've been on a cleaning spree closets, living room, and today I cleaned out our armour (sp). I've got bag loads full of clothes to donate to Mission Thanksgiving this year!! I've managed to fold all our laundry now just a matter of hanging what needs to be hung. The rest of the week my goal is to clear out David's dresser, hang clothes and start putting things back where they belong!
On Peanut news..we see Dr. Bass on Monday and so far we're doing good. I've started to have a bit more achiness but we're managing. My hair dresser gave me the number to a Prenatal Massage Therapist so I think I'll be calling her tomorrow to set up an appointment. I'm starting to buckle down on nursery ideas and make myself pick and finalize my choices on crib bedding that way we can start painting. I've got 2 more weeks till I'm technically allowed to start making purchases. I've got a swing picked out and some stuff that are must haves for his decorations just a matter of going to buy them. My mom was over this week to help me out some and has brought over some stuff from when I was little. I've got my Maghen puzzle bench and my chair that was in my nursery and continued with me the whole time I lived at home...so now its going in Peanut's room!

On a totally different side note....the stang is closer to completion and we're still trying to sell Dusty. But David is beaming with excitement because he got his PS3 yesterday and Madden 10. He connected it to our WiFi and has played Trey online. Lets just say I see him on the couch alot more now!! And getting to work earlier to play longer!!
Also a special thank you to David & Jomi for bringing me back some fruit from the valley!! It's delicious!!

Springing Forward!

Well this weekend marks the beginning of my first Spring Break as a Teacher!! Let me just say that last week was the most amazing week at school. It was very relaxing and encouraging. I just wanted to stop by and do a quick update before Im computerless until David gets off work tomorrow. This weekend the weather was GORGEOUS to say it simply. We had 75 degree weather with plenty of sunshine! David worked on his mustang engine which is making GREAT progress. More pictures to follow on that while I did some spring cleaning...I say I but really should be more of a David. I basically made the mess that he then had to clean up. Having a belly does stop you from bending over some. Aside from that I have a clean car Woo Hoo!! David did yard work this afternoon after we did family brunch and donuts. Tomorrow I have a hair appointment and Im going in the search for an awesome rolling pin. I've been making homemade tortillas for the past couple weekends for our breakfast and my goal is to make them this whole week as I'll be OFF!!
On PEANUT/TANK news....we don't see the doctor until next week and then his doctor till the week after that. This weekend I took inventory of his closet....10 hangers of outfits and 3 pairs of sock shoes!! And I think my favorite at the moment is his little Ralph Lauren Polo ONESIE that I bought for him last weekend!! And just think that is just whats at mommy & daddy's house not at either grandparents or aunts house! I do have to say that we're more than blessed to have such awesome families!! Peanut/Tank will have tons of love!!
Well off to bed early morning to make breakfast for David and get the day rolling!! Too bad we have rain in the forecast!

From snow to Homemade TORTILLAS!!

Well to start last week off we had a wonderful SNOW Day and it was wonderful to not have to go to work and hang out at home with David. Amazingly I slept in...which is hardly happening these days. As I was uploading some pictures I completely forgot that I never put a picture of our wonderful Valentine's pizza up!! Here is a picture of what our street looked like this past Tuesday...talk about a Winter Wonderland!!
We went to see Dr. Maberry on Wednesday and we found out that Peanut aka "Tank" is 10 oz. and 8.5 inches long which makes him as he's still 95% a "him" still 2 oz. bigger than Clara when she was born but the same length. We have a week before we go back to a Dr. and it'll be to see Dr. Bass. Our appointments are getting farther and farther apart which makes me both nervous and feel calmer all at the same time because it makes us a tad bit more "normal".

Well onto our Saturday...lots of new things happened this weekend!! We got a new table from my parents, battery and fuel filter for the Tahoe and knocked in our storm shelter. Well actually David and his friends and Tim did. I'll get those pictures later. I am very proud of myself for making a true "mexican" breakfast Sunday before I headed off to church. HOMEMADE TORTILLAS and chorizo & egg. It was wonderful to have breakfast at our table on a Sunday morning!! Later that night I made red beans & cornbread!! I don't know what exactly my new found cooking interest is but Im loving it!! Tonight I made tostadas that were YUMMY!!

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Dr. Bass is back!!

Well my doctor is offically back! Its almost been 6 whole weeks since I've seen him but we saw him on Thursday and he said things are going GREAT and that my surgery is working PERFECT!! That is such a good thing to hear. I will see him again in 3 weeks and next week we see our specialist! I say that the "mommy" check up went great and that our next appointment is for "Peanut's" check up! I've decided to offically wait until one more confirmation from the doctor before choosing anything for the nursery just so that we're sure that Peanut still has a Peanut!! We have colors and lots of ideas on what we'd like to have in the room just a matter of figuring things out. My mom & dad are going to be buying the crib as that is our family tradition and here pretty soon I'll actually get to go shopping for it. David wants me to wait until after 24 weeks before I start actually making purchases and I respect his decision on that so just 6 more weeks!! I am really excited about my cradle finally making its way back to me!! Its a very bittersweet circle that its made. My grandfather bought the cradle for me when I was born and since then its been used by Lauren, Andrew, Mark & Alexis, Oriana, Maddie and Louie!! So 7 babies later its Peanut's turn! My mom is on a blanket making frenzy and they are going to wonderful with all of the warm comfy clothes that Jomi has bought Peanut!! I think that I've felt Peanut some days to say "Hey Mom I'm Here"! David says that he's lazy because every time that he talks to him or messes with my stomach to get him to move he goes still. He says that now wait till its completely obvious that he's moving and we'll see who is lazy LOL! There are so many things that I'm looking forward to getting for Peanut once he's here...we'll have our Lil' Eagle FAN!! The ladies at work joke with me that I should just make his nursery Black & Gold to "brainwash" as the Cooper fans say early!
Well Lent has started and that makes my choices of food a bit different as Im always craving chicken and the latest craving is Chinese!! For Lent this year I've taken on going to church every weekend because I feel that regardless of where we've been in the past couple years God has given us so many blessings! We were blessed with a wonderful Daughter that will never be forgotten, with a wedding and for Peanut! I can also say that though this year has been hard for my sister I can say that my family is truly appreciative of the time we're given and continue to pray for her healing that God has given her!
David is out shooting at the farm again this weekend and I am about to start working on Lesson plans!!

Happy 25th!!

Well Thursday was David's 25th Birthday and we welcomed it with SNOW & ICE. I didn't have time to get a picture of the snow so this is a picture that came from bigcountryhomepage.com. Luckily David did not have to go to work...sadly I did. I drove about 20 mph the entire way to work in blinding snow but Im glad I was only 5 minutes late for work. I left work as soon as my kids were gone for the day and spent the rest of the day with David on his birthday!! We had rented movies and had his birthday dinner just the two of us the night before so we were able to just make dinner and relax Thursday night! I made him Green Chile Casserole a family recipe that we will certainly continue as our own family recipe. Here is a picture of our casserole.

Friday however we were lucky because we had a late start to school and the roads had cleared up enough that there weren't many issues driving. So around 8:30 ish we both headed out the door for work. Friday was David's last day working in the office for BCBS and I had my Valentine's Party with my kids. My kids truly enjoyed their party as we had nuggets from Chic Fil A and lots of yummy treats that my kids had brought with them! I must say that David was extremely happy to have his last day and come Monday he'll be working from home! Later that night we had David's actual Birthday Party at Lytle Land & Cattle Co. It was wonderful to spend time with family and friends. We had David's parents, my parents, both my sisters and their families and some of our friends!! Sadly I forgot to take pictures but we had a whole side of the room we were in just for our party. We had a wonderful dinner and a YUMMY cake...it was poker themed!

Today David went shooting with his dad and Dave Lee. Im glad that he finally got to use his gun and go shoot! While he was shooting I did some laundry and went to visit my sister while working on some lesson plans. After he got home we went to get some color samples for Peanut's nursery and will continue thinking of how we want to decorate his nursery. We are currently getting our fill of the Winter Olympics!!

Peanut's 1st Onesie & Drum Roll......

Well I have been trying to set up this blog for the past 2 days. For some reason my phone would send to my blog but the blog itself actually wouldn't post.

Here is a onsie that we have bought for Peanut on Monday while out shopping. We bought as neutral a color as we could find but of course it had to have STARS on it!! Peanut has a hand me down from Clara already...a very cute Nike Texas Longhorn sweatsuit...from Uncle Oscar & Aunt Kannika!! Our house will be divided...Hook'em Horns and Wreck'em Tech! David's parents got Peanut some wonderful longsleeve onsies, which I can say you can never have enough longsleeve stuff regardless of the weather outside!

Work has been kinda crazy for both us I can say this week...juggling doctors appointments here and there and trying to get David ready for work from home in the next week.

But on a good note I can offically say that:

100th Post

Well this is our 100th posting!! Woo Hoo triple digits!! David has been getting on to me for not updating the blog so I am finally taking the time to update today!! Life has been pretty decent lately. We've been getting ready for David's new Work from HOME!! Yes he will no longer have to commute across town to work but rather just get out of bed and log on and work...MUST BE NICE! I wish I had that luxury. Speaking of work its been going good. I got my laptop and all that stuff is set up at work so if push came to shove I think I could do alittle of my work from home as well but could only accomplish lesson plans and newsletters.

Today I woke up late for church which was a bummer because I've promised myself that I was going to start trying to attend more regularly than I have been since the year started. But it did give me a chance to rest and then I woke up to make us some breakfast. Its nice to have breakfast at home. We had bacon, sausage, eggs and biscuits! YUM! After breakfast we relaxed a bit and then some nesting kicked in. WE cleaned the ENTIRE pantry and kitchen...so now we're in relax mode for the rest of the day. Later today we'll be going to David's parents for the Pro Bowl!

On baby news: According to Whattoexpect.com Peanut is....Week 16 of Pregnancy: Baby's Hearing DevelopsThis little one's a looker — with a face that has both eyebrows and eyelashes — but a skinny looker since there's no baby fat yet. Baby's crown-to-rump measurement is between four and five inches, and weight is around three ounces.
This week we see both doctors...Specialist on Wednesday and then Dr. Holt on Thursday. We're praying that everything is still looking good and that Peanut is doing fine. Aside from the occasional nausea I've been pretty good. My eating habits though I seem to be hungry all the time my speed of eating has slowed down! Hopefully after this appointment Dr. Bass will be back and we'll start seeing him again but if not then Dr. Holt is a very nice doctor and has wonderful bedside manner.

Bedrest & Hospitals!!

Well I am writing this from bed as that has been my second home for the past 3 days and will be at least until tomorrow and I'll be on a modified bedrest the rest of the weekend. Hopefully by Tuesday things will be back to normal and I'll be able to go back to work. We don't have a follow up appt until Thursday next week and hopefully all goes well!!

Tuesday was Clara's birthday and we decorated her grave super cute!! She had pinwheels & giant birthday yard signs!

Thursday we were in the hospital for half a day for my surgery. We got to get home around midnight and then it was amazing to get to sleep in my own bed and I know that David was happy to be home. Well meds are kicking in so Im gonna rest again.

A heavy heart...<3

It's minutes before I leave to get lab work done...I thought I'd catch up...we're 12 weeks now with baby Peanut. We see the specialist and the doctor in a week and its so surreal how much you just want to see that your baby is ok and find out from the doctor that things are going alright....so we're anxiously waiting!! I had a bit of a scare this past week and got put on bedrest for 2 days!! I prayed and prayed yet at the same time...just put my life and Peanut's in God's Hands. He knows what he has in store for our lives and thats all we can hope for! So for the moment until I see the doctors Im on modified bedrest with work privledges and rest after!!

Our journey through pregnancy will certainly be an adventure that comes with some heartache. I know personally speaking as much as I look forward to the specialist appointment I fear it at the same time....

Tomorrow is a very important day for us...Clara's Angel~versary!! The year that we never thought we'd live through is coming to an end! And WE MADE IT!! Our family has truly been blessed and I can't help but think that Clara has a hand in all of this...Mommy got a job teaching, Mommy & Daddy got married!! and now our family is growing!!
