Mid Spring Break!

Well this week has been very relaxing and I've gotten lots done! I had a hair cut on Monday which is different finally something a bit different. Its been interesting being home while David's working but I've been making due. I've been on a cleaning spree closets, living room, and today I cleaned out our armour (sp). I've got bag loads full of clothes to donate to Mission Thanksgiving this year!! I've managed to fold all our laundry now just a matter of hanging what needs to be hung. The rest of the week my goal is to clear out David's dresser, hang clothes and start putting things back where they belong!
On Peanut news..we see Dr. Bass on Monday and so far we're doing good. I've started to have a bit more achiness but we're managing. My hair dresser gave me the number to a Prenatal Massage Therapist so I think I'll be calling her tomorrow to set up an appointment. I'm starting to buckle down on nursery ideas and make myself pick and finalize my choices on crib bedding that way we can start painting. I've got 2 more weeks till I'm technically allowed to start making purchases. I've got a swing picked out and some stuff that are must haves for his decorations just a matter of going to buy them. My mom was over this week to help me out some and has brought over some stuff from when I was little. I've got my Maghen puzzle bench and my chair that was in my nursery and continued with me the whole time I lived at home...so now its going in Peanut's room!

On a totally different side note....the stang is closer to completion and we're still trying to sell Dusty. But David is beaming with excitement because he got his PS3 yesterday and Madden 10. He connected it to our WiFi and has played Trey online. Lets just say I see him on the couch alot more now!! And getting to work earlier to play longer!!
Also a special thank you to David & Jomi for bringing me back some fruit from the valley!! It's delicious!!

100th Post

Well this is our 100th posting!! Woo Hoo triple digits!! David has been getting on to me for not updating the blog so I am finally taking the time to update today!! Life has been pretty decent lately. We've been getting ready for David's new Work from HOME!! Yes he will no longer have to commute across town to work but rather just get out of bed and log on and work...MUST BE NICE! I wish I had that luxury. Speaking of work its been going good. I got my laptop and all that stuff is set up at work so if push came to shove I think I could do alittle of my work from home as well but could only accomplish lesson plans and newsletters.

Today I woke up late for church which was a bummer because I've promised myself that I was going to start trying to attend more regularly than I have been since the year started. But it did give me a chance to rest and then I woke up to make us some breakfast. Its nice to have breakfast at home. We had bacon, sausage, eggs and biscuits! YUM! After breakfast we relaxed a bit and then some nesting kicked in. WE cleaned the ENTIRE pantry and kitchen...so now we're in relax mode for the rest of the day. Later today we'll be going to David's parents for the Pro Bowl!

On baby news: According to Whattoexpect.com Peanut is....Week 16 of Pregnancy: Baby's Hearing DevelopsThis little one's a looker — with a face that has both eyebrows and eyelashes — but a skinny looker since there's no baby fat yet. Baby's crown-to-rump measurement is between four and five inches, and weight is around three ounces.
This week we see both doctors...Specialist on Wednesday and then Dr. Holt on Thursday. We're praying that everything is still looking good and that Peanut is doing fine. Aside from the occasional nausea I've been pretty good. My eating habits though I seem to be hungry all the time my speed of eating has slowed down! Hopefully after this appointment Dr. Bass will be back and we'll start seeing him again but if not then Dr. Holt is a very nice doctor and has wonderful bedside manner.

Round 1, 2 and the hope of 3!

I had my interview on Wednesday. I think I spent more time waiting for Mr. Curtis to finish with another person than I actually did in my interview. He was super nice and I answered a few questions about what I thought about the bilingual program if it should be Dual Lanugage or full Imersion?, Why I think some teachers are better at classroom management than others and why some never are able to grasp that concept? Or even why do I want to teach in AISD instead of moving somewhere else and making more money? Yeah those are kinda intense questions from a teachers perspective...

I answered them the best I knew how and gave my personal opinions. After that interview he took me to meet the Bilingual Coordinator. He said my next step will be to interview with the principals and once a principal selects me I will be hired!! That is very exciting and I can't wait to get another interview.

We have some more remodeling this weekend. David & Tim are going to be taping & bedding the room and possibly texturing if the weather holds up!! I am planning to hit up the gym as well so that I can make sure that I fit perfectly in my dress!!

The Room and More!!

Well this weekend David worked on he room one day by himself and then the next with the help of Tim...who we are OMG thankful for. Sunday I had to help out at the Cinco de Mayo festival that my church was having which turned into a 5 hr shift that I wasn't expecting but thats ok. It was awesome to come home to a nearly completed room. I'll have pictures up in a couple minutes in our Remodel folder!! Aside from that our weekend was pretty relaxed nothing major went to a bday party and hung out with the car club!!

I got a chance to talk to the girls about my wedding and put together most of our guest list which let me tell you it can be intimidating. I've finally decided its time..5 months before lol to get the full ball rolling!! I basically verbally decided on all the decorations with my sister which was a ton of help cause my mind can now concentrate on the attire details. Im in the search of a cathedral length veil and sometime this month the guys are going to go search for tuxes and probably next month get the girls together for dress fittings!!

Its amazing how fast things can pop up!!

Remodel & What we're looking at...

Here are a couple pictures of the remodel...I haven't gotten the chance to get into the room to take pictures but here are some that David took the other day at the start...and here are also some pictures of the house and the land that we are considering purchasing. They are almost done and just need 1 more day!!

2 more days before the March for Babies!!

We are excited about the March!! We have our order in for t-shirts which will have Clara's footprints on the back of them with Angel wings. We are also gearing up for our new bedroom remodel. Yet at the same time looking into getting a new house and living in a new neighborhood!! I'll have more pictures up soon!!

I didn't get a chance to go to my Fit Camp graduation this morning because I was met at the door by a giant Pitbull that was not a happy camper and he or she didn't want to leave our porch thus I was not about to make a run for it and get chased or bitten on the way to the car!! Tomorrow is our offical last workout....but in one week I should be joining the Walk camp...its a low impact class targeted at toning and sculpting!! Gotta get ready for the wedding!

Here is the link to our Team page for March of Dimes!! Please if you get the chance donate (if you can) so that maybe one day babies born as early Clara might have a better chance of survival!!

Time away from Work!!

Well David had Friday off for his 4/10 work week and I took the day off as well. It was nice to take a break from that drama filled place!! There are all sorts of system problems that prevent us from fulling working so it was nice to just get out of there and not deal with it. Friday we just hung out at the house doing pretty much nothing!! Until the WATER BOTTLE fight!! Thats a whole other story..lol.. So far today I go to sleep in while David woke up early to work with Tim on his car. They are doing some sanding and bond-0 not sure how to spell that but hope its right work on the car. He is really close to being done. I should take a picture of his lists that he makes for the car but finally after 6 years he has it down to less than 20 things and the car will be up and running!! YAY!! Before I woke up and he started working David picked up the living room so all I had to do was finish up the rest!! Let me just say its so much easier to keep up with a clean house than clean an entire house each weekend!! Well aside from that we currently have nothing really planned for the rest of the day. I just need to finish up some last minute laundry and I'll be done for the weekend!! I think we might head over to this church that is having a Revorama Car Show with motorcycles & cars!! Ohh on that note I just want to announce...DAVID PASSED HIS MOTORCYCLE TESTS!!! He is offically licensed to drive a motorcycle!!

Busy Weekend!!

Well Jomi & David finally got to move into their house this weekend!! They are offically home owners again. They have moved into the Heritage Parks addition. David and his dad did most of the furniture loading while Jomi & I did kitchen box packing. Trey & Dom were in town also and we had fun playing with Cheyenne...Trey helped with putting up blinds along with other handyman stuff and he is gonna come check out our AC here at the house and help David do some work on the bathtub. This picture is courtesy of Dom and her Facebook...Yes I first put Cheyenne to sleep and then she put me to sleep! I worked Saturday morning for 2 hours because the system at work went down. Today we spent the morning having breakfast and cleaning. David did some yard work while I went to get breakfast then I started working on cleaning the house and folding laundry. Its nice to be done with cleaning and able to just relax for the day. Time to just relax and hang out with David and Zoe!!

Some Change!!

Well its been almost a month since I've posted a blog. Life has happened and some things have changed hopefully for the better. I made it back to work and have managed to get thru 2 weeks. The first week was intense trying to learn new systems and get back into the groove of things. This past week went OK...and today I worked my first Saturday Overtime. David was lucky and got to work his during the week and didn't have to work this weekend. Today he is at motorcycle school!! He'll be there today and tomorrow learning all the stuff you need to know about the rules and driving. I have a very busy night...today is Oriana's 13th birthday yes my niece is finally a TEENAGER! and we are also celebrating David's & Carrie's Birthday with the car club group!! I am in charge of bringing the ice cream so we'll be going there and then I'll be leaving for a little bit to go to Schezuan to attend Ori's bday dinner!! Well Im gonna get back to cleaning house and doing laundry.

TOPT, Thanksgiving and Black Friday!!

I am very proud to say that I past my TOPT (Texas Oral Proficiency Test) Spanish Exam!! I hadn't want to get my hopes up just in case but when I recieved my scores I was soo soo EXCITED!! I called David and we managed to re-create those whole dropped call commercials. I finally got thru where he could hear me and got to announce my wonderful news!! I just have one more exam to take before I will graduate 100 % Bilingual Certified. I looking forward to graduation because that will be a closing of a chapter that I have been working on for the past 5 years. We have been working on getting the house ready for our new addition but in the mean time David has started working on the "Anderson Grill". He is building us a small outdoor patio area in the backyard to enjoy during the summer and warm days. It'll have an area for food serving and all the stuff he'll need to store his grill. Its coming along pretty well he's made the base area all we need is to get the decking portion started but the weather threatened to be rainy. Our Thanksgiving's were as normal every year. David got up really early and went with his parents to Benbrook to see his niece and spend some time with them. I went to my parents and had lunch with my parents, brother and sister's family. It was nice to have such a quiet meal or that could have been because we were starving and were all eating versus talking. David came home around 5 ish that evening and headed over to my parents around 8ish. We had our full family dinner will all 31 members of my family! Then we all planned our Black Friday itineraries!...I woke up at 3 am and made my way to my parents by 3:30 am...just to have to wake all of them up myself! We hit Circuit City, Office Depot, Old Navy, Kohl's, Wal-mart and then headed home around 10 am! Yes I did almost 6 straight hours of shopping! Later that evening we went to see Twilight!! I am certainly looking forward to a quiet weekend at home with David and Zoe!

Well it's offical!!

Well for those that don't or do know...its OFFICIAL!! I am pregnant. I found out about 2.5 weeks ago. This past Saturday was 10 weeks. We had our first appointment with the doctor for our sonogram on the 3rd and it went GREAT...things are looking good. Its alittle strange sometimes cause I don't understand all the feelings. But my family is being really supportive and took the news with open arms! David's family also took the news really well. Jomi & David will get to have 2 new grandchildren about 6 months apart!! I'll get pictures posted asap. Aside from that WONDERFUL news I am in the home stretch of Student Teaching...finally it's gonna be over and I'll have graduated! I am excited to be planning my graduation party with my niece as her husband is also graduating the day before me...its gonna be loads of fun! Just 3 more weeks and 2 days of student teaching. We had a very quiet weekend. Saturday we bought a new screen door for the house and I love it. We can finally keep the front door open without Zoe trying to make a break for it. Davids dad and uncle helped him put the door up. We also spent sometime at Lowe's picking out some laminate hardwood floors for our new kitchen remodel...which will probably start in December sometime. On Sunday we had a family day. We went to breakfast at my parents and just hung out. David eventually went home and hung out with his friends while I stayed at my parents. My brother, Kannika and I went with my mom to pick out their Christmas present. We got them a Sony Bravia 32".

We also got to watch Kung Fu Panda on the new TV and it was a hilarious movie!! We all enjoyed it and are looking forward to getting my dad some stuff to watch and play on the TV while he is recovering from his surgery.

Almost a month later!!

Wow! I didn't even realize I hadn't updated or posted anything in practically a month. David & I both have been extremely busy with school and getting our assignments in. But we're making it...one day at a time!! Between work, school and life in general I am pleased to say OUR HOUSE IS CLEAN!! More thanks to David but I've helped with some laundry...About 5 more weeks and I'll finally be home during the day and just working one job. Student Teaching has been really really busy. We took our first field trip on Friday to Tipi Village!! Lets just say they LOVED IT...Its awesome getting to see how excited they get with the smallest things. I was excited that we got to go to Tipi Village because since its my senior year it was nice to see Homecominig Full Swing!! My teacher went out for her maternity leave on the 13th of October so since then I have been on my own you could say. I have a sub with me and that helps alot. This coming week is Red Ribbon Week and I know my kids are going to get a laugh out of all the different dress up days we're going to have!! Friday is also Halloween and I know they will be excited about that. We're having a Pizza Party and watching movies!! I have just one more observation to get thru and I'll be done!! My niece and I are starting to think of plans for Aaron's and My GRADUATION!! Who knows what we'll come up with!
