My poor lil man

Yesterday Dj vomited while he was at my parents house and fell asleep. I assumed he would be fine as he has only ever thrown up 3 times to date. Well while we were visiting my sister my mom called to say he was still vomiting. We picked up pedialyte on the way to their house and tried to rehydrate him with no success! We made it home a while later with calls in to the doctor. He slept with us to keep an eye on him and spent the day at home today! Sadly he missed his school field trip to the zoo! We found out at his Dr.'s that he has an ear infection that is causing all the vomiting! Joy!! So a shot and antibiotic later hopefully my lil man will feel better!

New shoes New you!

Isn't that how it works new shoes new you...I wish! This past Monday we officially joined the YMCA---insert hand motions :) I hadn't bought running shoes since I was prego with Dj and David's were in yucky shape so here's to new shoes and working out! We made the switch from our old gym to the Y because of childcare...which is a sad topic at least for me because Djs first time in the nursery consisted of standing in one solitary position while we did a short 30 minute work out. The gym has busy days in the nursery so for now the plan is just to go on the non busy days and pray he gets better in there!

A Sacred Heart

Wow! An intense title for an intense change in our lives! We have friends that are doing great on the road to a healthy life and weight. We always usually one at a time say I'm going to do this or that sounds great and we might for a couple days but this time it's a mutual decision that we are committing to a week long diet plan! A friend of David's actually gave him the plan and we went tonight and bought all we needed for the week. I am proud to say our fridge is full w veggies, fruit, milk and juice! Heres our ingredients and all that goodness in the pot!
This weekend we tried to relax some as much as we know how...David worked in the shop while I went shopping with Dj's Tia Rachel. Today David went to look at a truck while Dj and I ate breakfast and then went to Christmas in November with Memaw.
Next week is my last full week before Thanksgiving which is really nice to think of but also means we've got to get on the ball with our learning expectations!
I'll keep an update on our soup and diet change!

Mr. & Mrs. Chef

Well this week David helped me out tons in the kitchen by making dinner each night starting Tuesday night he made nachos then his Memaws Green Chile Casserole and ended with Lasagna!
Thursday it was Dj and I's turn to experiment at lunch! We had salad and Butternut squash Macaroni...here are some pics of our fun lunch! I am very proud of my Mac as it is all from scratch minus the noodles!

Here is our lunch me salad & Mac while Dj enjoyed yogurt smoothie & Mac!

We had guests over this weekend and wow our house was packed! I got to get lots of my school shopping in and found some things I'm looking forward to purchasing come Tax Free Weekend!!

Routing away!!

Well we finally did it! We upgraded wireless routers! We've been using one that my brother in law Louis let us have ages ago...at least in techo land for sure! In my opinion it cost a bit much but in the scheme of things I can work online doing my work stuff while David is watching Netflix, playing PS3 or any other widget our TV has on it. So welcome the Cisco Linksys-E4200 Router to the Anderson Casa!

I must say it looks rather intimidating! It took me about 2 hours to get this simple device "accoding to the instructions" up and running! Apparently my laptop does not like Cisco software! After spending time on the phone with Louis...and now being in debt...well Dj and David are in debt to him...99 kisses and a 23 pack of Modelo! I am happy to announce that I am currently blogging while David is playing GTA with Trey and Shaft.
Sadly I start work in the next week and a half...I am not looking forward to it one bit. Tonight Dj and I went to the store to stock up on snacks and things that he'll need for Mama's house in the next week! Dj is my little trooper and helper at the grocery store. I can hand him things and he'll put them in the back of the basket for me. I can't believe how much he's grown and how smart he's getting. Our newest accomplishments are standing and walking along anything he can get his little fingers on and putting things in cups or bowls and transferring them back and forth between objects!

Well...time for bed as I have a early GYM wake up call!!

GD Training...hmm...new diet!!

Well my GD training wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...they made an individualized meal plan that I can easily stick to when it comes to eating at home and my snacks..but my lunch is one that after I get through eating my leftovers this week will be much easier next week!! My new best friend is my Accu Chek Compact Plus meter! I have to check my glucose levels 2 hrs after every meal and then first thing in the morning!! About my diet...I don't ever eat that much food so we'll see how this goes...I've only gained 3 lbs this whole pregnancy and now I feel like it might be more..but others say I'll probably start losing so I might just be all baby!!

On other news...DJ is in the 57 percentile for his age in his weight so we have a 2.11 ounce baby boy who has big feet according to Dr. Maberry. I also got pushed back to every 2 weeks with Dr. Bass after being moved up to every week...and I've gotten moved up on Dr. Maberry's schedule to 3 week appointments!! Tomorrow is 28 weeks and DJ will have full lung development...but he needs to cook for about 4 more weeks before his lungs will be really strong. Dr. Maberry said things are going GREAT...stitch is holding and thats whats most important after DJ's health.

Well Im going to go back to getting lesson plans ready for the rest of the year in case anything should surprisingly happen my kiddos are ready to go...just 22 more day!! YAY!! Also I can't wait to get home cause we're painting today and getting the ball rolling on the nursery!! There will be pictures later to come...

Playoff season has begun!!

Well life has been pretty normal lately. Aside from David being on the sickly end of it...he's been sick 2 times in 2 weeks. We finally went to the doctor and he's finally feeling better. Well we've finally settled in a bit but our weekends seem to keep getting busier and busier!! We haven't had a calm nothing to do weekend since before the wedding. Wedding weekend, Halloween Party, 16th Bday party, Club Thanksgiving Dinner, AHigh football and now we have another wedding to attend!! Here is one of my favorite shots I took at the A-High vs. Arlington Lamar Playoff game!! I went with my brother and dad while David hung out with the "boys" and had a bachelor party for Tyler. It was an awesome game and I enjoyed it even more since it was at the new Cowboys Stadium. To make it more fun my bestie Sharon came to the game too...its always nice to just spend sometime with your friend regardless of where your at!! Well David is recovering nicely and I can't wait to have him at 100% again.

On a different note school has been going great especially these coming weeks. I had one of the greatest little girls in my class turn 5 yesterday and we let her parent celebrate her birthday with our class. Of course they loved it...CUPCAKES = SUGAR!! Today we had a field trip to Oak Wood Trails at the Abilene Supported Living Center. At first it was like ohh yay a nature walk with my class...attention span = 0 but they did awesome and it was really fun we walked and there were activities we could do along the trail. We swung on a Rope Swing, Log Swing and a HUMAN sized Tetter Totter. It was awesome and to end it all we had lunch at the picnic tables and let the kids play at the attatched playground!!! and YES Christina and I both slide down the slide!! I am very excited that there are only 5 days of school till Thanksgiving break and then 3 weeks after that till Christmas Break and then I don't have to go back until Jan 5th!!

For those that have been waiting for this update my sister had her surgery and is waiting to heal before she does 4 more rounds of chemo. I am so thankful for all the prayers for her. Its amazing how much this year has made us grow and change. Death is a sad thing but I keep believing that one day we'll see the LIFE that it brings. I can honestly say for both of us we never saw this coming nor knew how to prepare for everything that has happened to us. I am really looking forward to starting a new year with my new husband an all the new journeys we'll be on!!

And PS. I have really been trying hard to incorporate diet and exercise into my daily routine...3 days good so far...MUST get better!!

skies the limit...

I took this picture while I was waiting for David to come out for dinner tonight...The clouds were awesome...as they were developing into a storm....Well...tonight I started my Juice Therapy....its a holistic approach to weight loss and a healthy way to repair my liver condition without having to take medicine.

I'll be drinking my juice for breakfast, regular lunch and then juice again before dinner....Im really hoping that this helps and will help me lose some weight before the wedding!!! Today we picked up Maddie's flower girl dress and got Ori fitted for her junior bridesmaid dress and dresses will be ready by Oct. 12th...Things are really getting closer!!

Round 1, 2 and the hope of 3!

I had my interview on Wednesday. I think I spent more time waiting for Mr. Curtis to finish with another person than I actually did in my interview. He was super nice and I answered a few questions about what I thought about the bilingual program if it should be Dual Lanugage or full Imersion?, Why I think some teachers are better at classroom management than others and why some never are able to grasp that concept? Or even why do I want to teach in AISD instead of moving somewhere else and making more money? Yeah those are kinda intense questions from a teachers perspective...

I answered them the best I knew how and gave my personal opinions. After that interview he took me to meet the Bilingual Coordinator. He said my next step will be to interview with the principals and once a principal selects me I will be hired!! That is very exciting and I can't wait to get another interview.

We have some more remodeling this weekend. David & Tim are going to be taping & bedding the room and possibly texturing if the weather holds up!! I am planning to hit up the gym as well so that I can make sure that I fit perfectly in my dress!!

March for Babies!!

First of all I want to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! to everyone that donated and sponsored our walk. It was a wonderful morning to walk there was hardly any sun and it was slightly overcast with plenty of breeze. The walk was actually alot of fun. We had David & Jomi and Norma and the kids!! I think that David & Louie certainly had the most fun out of our entire group. Also I almost forgot David's friend Emily and her mom also came out in support and walked. Louie and David RACED each other...Louie would run and say "David I race you" and when he was ready to take a break he would say "OK lets break" then go back to "let's race". Its amazing how much energy a 3 yr old had. I took the pictures with my cell phone so they aren't the greatest but I certainly think some are cute!

Tonight we're planning on hanging out with our friend Finke. Last night we played tennis with my nieces and Tim. It seems like we have gotten lots of exercise already this weekend. Well I am looking forward to the rest of our weekend. I will post the pictures of the house we are looking into getting later today or tomorrow.

I love this picture of David as Mr. Mom....he'll be great at pushing the stroller one day!!

2 more days before the March for Babies!!

We are excited about the March!! We have our order in for t-shirts which will have Clara's footprints on the back of them with Angel wings. We are also gearing up for our new bedroom remodel. Yet at the same time looking into getting a new house and living in a new neighborhood!! I'll have more pictures up soon!!

I didn't get a chance to go to my Fit Camp graduation this morning because I was met at the door by a giant Pitbull that was not a happy camper and he or she didn't want to leave our porch thus I was not about to make a run for it and get chased or bitten on the way to the car!! Tomorrow is our offical last workout....but in one week I should be joining the Walk camp...its a low impact class targeted at toning and sculpting!! Gotta get ready for the wedding!

Here is the link to our Team page for March of Dimes!! Please if you get the chance donate (if you can) so that maybe one day babies born as early Clara might have a better chance of survival!!

Overtime!!

Wow...it feels like David and I never leave BCBS...I think for the past 3 or 4 weekends every other weekend we've been working you'd think we were banking lol..to bad its all mandatory!! We worked this morning 7 am to Noon and are happy to be done!! David & Tim are working on the car..I'll be out there later to take pictures of them at work...lol..and then Im off to my sisters to help her prepare for Fat Louie's BDAY!! Yes our little buddy is finally 3 years old!! Its amazing how time flys...I talked to my sister this week and Maddie registered for Kindergarten!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT Kindergarten!! I still rememeber bottle feeding while David & I had lunch together at the resturant...those were the days I tell ya! We don't have many plans for the weekend other than trying to rest and for David working the soreness out of his legs!! We have Louie's party tonight and then at some other point watching Marley & Me. I also need to go to a bookstore and buy a wedding planning book otherwise I might just be taking stabs in the dark at what I really want or need to have done in the next 6 months!! I'd also like to get some workout time in this weekend..I've got my last week of Fit Camp coming up and I hope I improve my PT testing times and #'s...

Fit Camp 1st Weigh In!!

Well today was the offical 3 week weigh in. I lost 1 lb, 1.5% body fat, increased my % water, increased my Muscle Mass by .8 and decreased my Viscelar Fat by 1 lb!! I was alittle discouraged by the 1 lb in 3 weeks but then again...I did lose body fat and gained muscle so I am happy with that. David & I have a competition going to see who will lose the most weight...at my rate...hmm....he hasn't had a weigh in this week yet but Im thinking its his turn tomorrow...LOL!!

Road Blocks!!

We woke up really late today actually at NOON...I guess its ok when you go to bed at 3 am right...My goal was to go to Denny's for the FREE GRAND SLAM but I didn't make it...Oscar & Norma went but said it was so so busy that they went to McDonalds instead. Once we woke up my intention was to go to the YMCA and work out but the road blocks were in the way...I thought really...the one time I wanna try to do a small workout I can't. The city is currently redoing our street and its alittle hard to try to manuever around the giant bulldozer. I thought I'd try to go later in the day...and I still might just go plop myself on my stationary bike but they decided to put down the tar or oil whatever that black stuff is so half or street is coned off. Thanks but no thanks I'd rather not get stuck in that crap. David had a lunch date today with an old friend so he was able to escape prior to all the mess. They are having a potluck at work today in a friends unit and David was invited to join so he picked up chips and salsa. I think its gone well...I did tell him if there wasn't any food he liked to just give me a call and I'd go get him something or take him something. My goal is to get out tomorrow bull dozer or no bull dozer. I know that I have to keep my workout pretty mild which doesn't really help me out when it comes time for Fit Camp because I am technically still lactating and cannot have any stimulation or harsh movements because it could trigger more production. HORRIBLE I TELL YOU!!

Some what on the same health note. I am looking into getting this book called Trying Again: A Guide to Pregnancy after Miscarriage, Stillbirth and Infant Loss so that I can figure out how I really need to prepare my body for our next pregnancy. Some probably think I am moving too fast but its not like Im wanting this to happen over night. Medically I was doing some searching and we could try again "healthy" in 3 months. But in my opinion that is too too soon. I know its possible as my niece is living proof of this but for me I don't think I could nor want too. I do want to at least wait the 6 months that Dr. Bass said was best for the body. I'd like to hopefully have my body in the best condition possible for the baby.
On the wedding plans note I designed our Save-the-Date stuff and will hopefully get those ready to mail later next week. I am trying to juggle planning, doing laundry, house cleaning and packing or getting stuff ready for my adventure to the FT. WORTH STOCK SHOW. My dad & I are meeting up with my oldest sister Lenore and her family in Ft. Worth on Thursday and staying until probably mid day on Friday. Ohhh what fun...lol...I have really no idea what to expect. All I was told is metal building = COLD!! I think I'll start looking into the weather because here in Abilene they are suppose to be nice days.
