Our Busy 2009!!

Well its finally the new year can you believe it 2009!! And all I can really say about it is WOW!! Its going to be probably one of the busiest years we've ever seen. Im not sure if I could say that we have Resolutions for the new year or maybe just Goals that we'd love to accomplish!! I think we have a combo list for this New Year...

1. Bring a healthy baby into the world...probably our most important right now!
2. Get everything ready for the baby to come home
3. Plan our wedding and not go crazy doing it.
4. Start eating and living healthier
5. Lose weight
6. Decrease our debt
7. Re-model our house

For now thats all I can really think of that are goals we'd like to accomplish together...now separate goals are different...

David's
1. Make it thru Fit Camp...alive
2. Do more work ...if possible finish the Mustang!!
3. Have the Anderson Grill completed
4. Finish all re-model projects

Maghen's
1. Have our baby
2. Get a teaching job
3. Manage home and work life better
4. Get ready for Fit Camp after the baby

I hope these are goals that we can accomplish...actually I think they are goals that we can accomplish with patience and dedication. I am really looking forward to our New Year...we have a baby coming, wedding, new job and lots and lots of exercise coming our way!! I also love that at the beginning of the year we always get to celebrate a new year Anniversary!! I wish everyone a blessed and prosperous New Year full of love, fun, and laughter!! Now to get with "hubby" lol...and figure out what our plans are for tomorrow!!

Let's Catch up!!

Well its been forever so it seems since I posted something. I offically graduated and can call myself McMurry Alumni now. It was a wonderful graduation ceremony...SHORT AND SWEET. It was a busy graduation weekend for sure. Aaron's on Friday, mine Saturday and then that night we had our PARTY!! I want to say thank you to Lupe for hosting the party for us!! It was wonderful and yes I still need to write Thank You notes...man one of these days I'll catch up with everything I need to do. Well that following week I started a Long Term sub job at Fannin. All I can say is that is certainly interesting....to say the least. I'll be doing that for another 2.5 weeks after the Christmas Break and I can't wait for it to be OVER...I just want to stay home now and get ready for the baby. I finished out the semester with them and then the Christmas RUSH hit. We didn't get started on our Christmas shopping until Dec. 22nd...yes thats only 3 days before! I am extremely happy to say that DAVID PASSED ALL HIS CLASSES!! Woo hoo!! He's got one semester under his belt now. Since then we've just been hanging out at home and relaxing. We spent time with Chavo over the holidays and tons of time with both families. We well rather he...not so much me...played football with my family on Christmas day. Lets just say everyone was sore...David came home bleeding, my sister with a swollen ankle and Kannika with a severe headache!! We're now in the home stretch to the end of the year and working our hinnies off so that we don't have to go into work on Friday since it is our 7 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! We just have today and 6 hrs tomorrow then we get to start the new year celebrations with our families!!

The morning before the Chaos!!

Well its like 1 am and I am blogging because we're waiting up to get the battery charged on my new CAMERA!! I absolutely have no real idea on how to use it but I love it!! I've wanted a new camera forever and I asked David this year for Christmas if I could have one. I never expected to get the one that I did get. I was thinking I'd get one of those new sleek and small cameras but instead you see what I got. It came with an extra lens which will certainly come in handy this weekend at graduation. Which by the way I am ecstatic about. I can't believe that the time has finally come! Not only did he get me the camera he got me a carrying bag that way it would be safe and 2 4GB memory cards which hold like 1000 pictures...who knows if I'll ever get to take that many but I'll try. So as I said we're waiting up to take our first picture with the new camera. David is gonna have to practice so that the pictures are good on Saturday. I really should be going to bed because we have such a busy day tomorrow. We have errands to run in the morning then decorating for the Graduation Party and at 1 pm I have a hair appointment and then Rehearsal then Baccaluereate (no idea how to spell that) then after all the we have Aaron's ACU graduation to attend. Well Im going to go check on the camera battery and see how that is going and then get to bed for my eventful weekend!!

Busy, Busy & more Busy!!

Well it has been a busy week. It was my last week as a Student Teacher!! Let me just say I was excited to be done!! Aside from that my dad had surgery on Wednesday so our family entourage spent the day at the hospital with him and has been taking turns staying with him so my mom can continue working. I want to say THANK YOU for all the thoughts and prayers that were sent our way. We won't offically know what the protocol will be for his treatment but we're hoping for the best! We had our 2nd Doctors visit on Tuesday and we got to hear Baby Bruno's heartbeat....for those that don't know we call the baby "Baby Bruno Gus Gus" for the time being until we know for sure what it is. It started out kinda like an inside joke and now its more of a nickname. It was really exciting to hear the heartbeat it made all the worries of something could be going wrong just go away! It'd been a stressful time for me before the appointment with work, school and life and in the back of my head I was always thinking I hope Im not hurting Baby Bruno. We go back in on the 6th and from there we'll schedule our visit with the neo-natal specialist who will tell us the sex of the baby. I just want to clarify a miss understanding that David had...we won't get to know the sex of the baby on the 6th as David had told some people but most likely either a week or two after that depending on when they schedule us. Aside from all the fun David was able to complete work on the base of "The Anderson Grill" as he calls it. The first picture is from last week when he started working on it and a picture completed and then stained.

I think that it looks wonderful!! At first I was like huh? because I didn't understand exactly what he was making but I think its a GREAT idea. David says its his new hang out place and but soon it'll be the Family hangout place! It's going to have a roof and the whole nine yards so it'll be great once the baby comes since it'll be here for summer and we'll get to have "Baby Bruno" outside with us. Well it feels like I've been typing forever so anymore that I need to add I'll do later. Time for some lunch and relaxation as I feel like Im coming down with a head cold.

TOPT, Thanksgiving and Black Friday!!

I am very proud to say that I past my TOPT (Texas Oral Proficiency Test) Spanish Exam!! I hadn't want to get my hopes up just in case but when I recieved my scores I was soo soo EXCITED!! I called David and we managed to re-create those whole dropped call commercials. I finally got thru where he could hear me and got to announce my wonderful news!! I just have one more exam to take before I will graduate 100 % Bilingual Certified. I looking forward to graduation because that will be a closing of a chapter that I have been working on for the past 5 years. We have been working on getting the house ready for our new addition but in the mean time David has started working on the "Anderson Grill". He is building us a small outdoor patio area in the backyard to enjoy during the summer and warm days. It'll have an area for food serving and all the stuff he'll need to store his grill. Its coming along pretty well he's made the base area all we need is to get the decking portion started but the weather threatened to be rainy. Our Thanksgiving's were as normal every year. David got up really early and went with his parents to Benbrook to see his niece and spend some time with them. I went to my parents and had lunch with my parents, brother and sister's family. It was nice to have such a quiet meal or that could have been because we were starving and were all eating versus talking. David came home around 5 ish that evening and headed over to my parents around 8ish. We had our full family dinner will all 31 members of my family! Then we all planned our Black Friday itineraries!...I woke up at 3 am and made my way to my parents by 3:30 am...just to have to wake all of them up myself! We hit Circuit City, Office Depot, Old Navy, Kohl's, Wal-mart and then headed home around 10 am! Yes I did almost 6 straight hours of shopping! Later that evening we went to see Twilight!! I am certainly looking forward to a quiet weekend at home with David and Zoe!

Well it's offical!!

Well for those that don't or do know...its OFFICIAL!! I am pregnant. I found out about 2.5 weeks ago. This past Saturday was 10 weeks. We had our first appointment with the doctor for our sonogram on the 3rd and it went GREAT...things are looking good. Its alittle strange sometimes cause I don't understand all the feelings. But my family is being really supportive and took the news with open arms! David's family also took the news really well. Jomi & David will get to have 2 new grandchildren about 6 months apart!! I'll get pictures posted asap. Aside from that WONDERFUL news I am in the home stretch of Student Teaching...finally it's gonna be over and I'll have graduated! I am excited to be planning my graduation party with my niece as her husband is also graduating the day before me...its gonna be loads of fun! Just 3 more weeks and 2 days of student teaching. We had a very quiet weekend. Saturday we bought a new screen door for the house and I love it. We can finally keep the front door open without Zoe trying to make a break for it. Davids dad and uncle helped him put the door up. We also spent sometime at Lowe's picking out some laminate hardwood floors for our new kitchen remodel...which will probably start in December sometime. On Sunday we had a family day. We went to breakfast at my parents and just hung out. David eventually went home and hung out with his friends while I stayed at my parents. My brother, Kannika and I went with my mom to pick out their Christmas present. We got them a Sony Bravia 32".

We also got to watch Kung Fu Panda on the new TV and it was a hilarious movie!! We all enjoyed it and are looking forward to getting my dad some stuff to watch and play on the TV while he is recovering from his surgery.

Happy Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween!! Last week I was really excited that we won the pumpkin contest at school I had two of my students work with their families to decorate the pumpkin and we won BATTIEST PUMPKIN!!

David came up to school to help me out with my Halloween Pizza Party...it was wonderful my students loved that he came. We had pizza, punch and the CUTEST spider cupcakes!! I'll have to upload the picture as soon as I can upload it off my phone. It was really nice to have the day off and just spend time with David. We picked up the house after I got off of school work to get ready for our Family Halloween Pizza Party that I host every year after the kids went Trick-or-Treating. This year was a little tricky because we also had the last home AHS football game...which we had to have a letter to get into the game as David accidentally lost our season tickets...lol but its all good we got in and enjoyed the 2 quarters of the game that we did watch. We got there late because we wanted to pass out candy and then came home early because it was getting cold and to get all the food ready for the party!! It was so much fun my parents, brother and girlfriend, sister and her family and then my brother all came. I am also excited about Saturday night we're planning a small friends and family football party to watch the Texas vs. Texas Tech game!! Well we got thru Halloween and I am excited about Day Light Savings Time coming up Sunday!!
